Medical marijuana seems to be the one topic that president-elect Trump has not flip-flopped on.
Trump has almost always said medical marijuana should be legal including when he was asked about marijuana by Bill O’Reilly,
“I have to see what the medical effects are and, by the way — medical marijuana, medical? I’m in favor of it a hundred percent.”
Trump wants to legalize drugs
That was in February 2016, back in April of 1990 he said ALL drugs should be legalized. The only problem is Trump’s Attorney General nominee Senator Jeff Sessions has largely been against marijuana in general.
Senator Sessions, while at a legislative hearing said, “good people don’t’ smoke marijuana,” and a little while later said, “We need grown-ups in charge in Washington to say marijuana is not the kind of thing that ought to be legalized.” It is obvious that left unchecked, Jeff Sessions could ruin the lives of millions of people because of his out-of-touch stance on marijuana. It could come down to how much control the people have over what the government does. The vast majority of Americans believe that marijuana should be legalized.
