Marijuana Catapult Found Attached to Border Fence

A marijuana catapult used to fling weed over the Arizona-Mexico border fence was found by border patrol agents.

WHAT IS GOING ON?

According to official U.S. Customs, border protection were patrolling the area near the Douglas Port of Entry when they noticed people fleeing the fence when they approached.

On arrival, two bundles of marijuana were found. Each bundle weighed 23 pounds. The catapult system was also found attached on the Mexico side. The US border patrol quickly dismantled the machinery.

Federal authorities say smugglers are finding new and unusual ways to get bundles of marijuana across the border. They are doing everything from sending them over with air powered cannons to placing vehicle ramps next to border fences.

The drug war can not prevent these innovative techniques. New methods are created every single day, and no amount of patrol will prevent drug cartels from smuggling marijuana.

The United States must legalize marijuana at a federal level. Only then will the drug cartels suffocate financially; also forcing them to select a different industry to participate in.
