🙏 LET’S GO CANADA! WILL THEY LEGALIZE CANNABIS?

IS CANADA ON THE PATH TO LEGALIZE CANNABIS?

LEGALIZE CANNABIS – The Canadians are inherently a little weird, so it comes as no surprise that their stance on cannabis is the same. The federal government of Canada intends to legalize recreational cannabis in 2017 through new legislation. Currently, you can only possess, consume, and grow cannabis if it is for a medical purpose. Their medical marijuana system looks pretty straight forward. It is only between the patient and the doctor on whether or not they can use cannabis to treat their ailment.

The government of Canada, under Justin Trudeau, put together a marijuana task force to find out the best possible way to implement full legalization. That task force has just announced that their report is finished and they will soon turn over recommendations to the government after a year of studying. Canada being Canada, they have to first translate the report to both English and French. The public and federal ministers will receive it in the middle of December. Canadian cannabis could be a $4.5 billion industry by 2021. According to the study, the report should also cover the recommended age limits and how homes would grow.

However, you shouldn’t get your hopes up of going to Canada over the weekend for some killer bud anytime soon. January 2018 will be the expected date for full legalization. You will still be able to cash in on vast amounts of cannabis  in California over the next few years. Canada will still beat the US to full legalization, so Canada might not be a horrible place to live once cannabis is legal in 2018.
